  Redeeming Your Travel Awards

The best part of a frequent flyer program is using the miles you have earned. And with Asiana Club, we have assembled a world of exciting redemption opportunities for you to select from.

But first, it’s important to understand what makes award travel possible. The Asiana Club program is designed to reward our most loyal customers with complimentary access to those seats on our flights that would have otherwise gone empty. We know by history, that certain flights during certain days of week and times of year, will have more demand than capacity. This allows us to allocate a limited number of Asiana Club Award seats on those flights for use by our members- a win win situation for both our best customers and Asiana Airlines.

Because of the limited availability of award seats during peak periods when demand is high from our revenue passengers, it may sometimes be difficult to get award reservations on your preferred flights. We therefore encourage you to be flexible, plan your travels during low seasons and make your reservations as far in advance as possible.

Once you know where you want to travel and how many miles you need, just follow these guidelines:

Redemption Procedures

1. PLANNING
  1. Plan your travel well in advance, selecting dates, destinations and flights. Plan for alternatives since space may be limited.
  2. Determine the number of miles you will need by referring to the award charts in the printed member guide, on this website or by calling your Asiana Club Service Center. Make sure all the miles in your account are valid and available for use by the time of ticketing.

2. RESERVATIONS
  1. Book your award reservations on-line at this website or call your Asiana Airlines Reservation Office or Asiana Club Service Center to make your free travel award reservations on either Asiana or our partner airlines at least 3 days prior to travel.
  2. Award tickets and upgrade seats are booked in different inventory classes from revenue fares, so please inform the agent that you are redeeming Asiana Club Miles for this travel. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of your reservations and refusal of travel.
  3. You will receive a Passenger Name Record (PNR) number at time of reservation. You will need to present that information at time of ticketing.
  4. For upgrades on Asiana Airlines flights, you will need to first make a reservation in the class of service of your paid fare basis. Then call Asiana Airlines Reservations or Asiana Club Service Center to request your upgrade. Once you have a valid commercial ticket issued by Asiana Airlines or your Travel Agent, you will need to present that ticket to an Asiana Airlines Ticket Office prior to travel for upgrade validation to the next higher class of service.
  5. Award Travel reservations and ticketing may only be booked through an Asiana Airlines Reservations or Ticket Office. Travel Agency arrangements are not permitted.

3. TICKETING
  1. Walk into any Asiana Airlines City Ticket Office or Airport Ticket office and present your PNR authorization, Asiana Club Card and photo-ID and you will be issued your tickets or upgrade authorization on the spot, pending payment of the appropriate airport taxes and service charges.
  2. Third parties requesting tickets on your behalf must be in possession of an authorization letter signed by you to pick up your tickets.
  3. Date changes after ticketing are permitted, with no additional charge. Please call Asiana Reservations to make your changes.
  4. Itinerary changes after ticketing are permitted, however may incur a service charge. Please call Asiana Reservations to adjust your itinerary, then bring your Award Ticket to an Asiana Airlines ticket office for reissuance.

Special Benefits

MULTIPLE AWARD DISCOUNTS
Traveling with other award ticket passengers? Well if you use your miles to purchase two or more award tickets at the same time, Asiana gives you 10% discount on the award mileage required for each party's tickets. Simply deduct 10% from the mileage listed on our Award Chart to determine the miles required for your itinerary. This applies to travel on Asiana routes only and all passengers must be traveling on the same itinerary.

AWARD TRANSFERS
Do you want to transfer your award ticket to family or friends? Well if you are a Diamond or Platinum member, all you need to do is complete an award transfer certificate and present it to the Asiana Airlines agent at time of award ticketing and the tickets will be issued in your designee’s name. Once issued, however, awards may not be transferred. Only awards on Asiana operated flights may be transferred under these provisions.

SHARING YOUR MILES WITH FAMILY

Asiana Club’s Family Mileage Plan makes it easy for you and your family to share free travel. Simply enroll by submitting the application form along with proof of family relationship (issued within past 6 months). Up to 5 immediate family members, including yourself, may be registered and pool miles. Once registered, no changes are permitted (other than one change due to marriage). To qualify, all family members must be enrolled in Asiana Club. Mileage pooling is permitted only for top off mileage to meet an Asiana Award threshold.

To Enroll:

  • Go to our website flyasiana.com and download the application
  • Complete the Family Mileage Plan Enrollment Form
  • Fax or mail your application to one of the Asiana Club Service Centers listed on the form

To Redeem:

  • Make your award travel reservation or upgrade request
  • Download and complete a Family Mileage Plan Mileage Redemption Form
  • Fax your redemption form to one of the Asiana Club Service Centers listed on the form or present it for ticketing at one of our worldwide City Ticket Offices
