Geography
The Philippines is located on the eastern rim of the China Seas with a landmass of 340,440 km©÷, 1.3 times the Korean Peninsula, and stretches 1,000km east to west and 1,850km north to south. The Philippines is made up of 7,107 islands, some a metropolis, and some deserted. The larger islands have lush rainforests and mountains.
Climate
The Philippines has two tropical seasons - the hot/dry season and the rainy season. The weather is hot and dry from November ~ June, with the rainy season in between from January ~ June, and the monsoon season from July through December. The average temperature is approximately 26 ~ 27”ĘC with 77% humidity. |

Currency Exchanges
Korean banks do not provide currency exchange for Philippines pesos. Therefore, exchange Korean currency into US Dollars, then exchange it into pesos upon arrival in Philippines at banks and hotels. ThereӮs usually a P1 ~ P5 difference per US Dollar. However, travelers can also use US Dollars in the Philippines, so carrying both denominations is recommended.
