Although the majority is of the Muslim faith, people of Indonesia respect other people's religious beliefs and practices.

  Geography Indonesia is the world's largest island nation, with over 13,670 islands. There are 5 large island regions: Sumatra Island, Java Island, Kalimantan (Borneo) Island, Sulawesi Island, and Irian Jaya Island (near Papua New Guinea). The distance between, Sumatra and Papua New Guinea is approximately 5,100km to the southe and 1,600km to the northwest. Indonesia is surrounded by the Indian Ocean to the south, Papua New Guinea to the east, the Andaman Sea to the northwest, and the South China Sea, Celebes Sea, Sulu Sea, and the Pacific Ocean to north. Climate Indonesia has tropical weather all year round, with heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. There is approximately 5 ~ 10 ° C temperature difference between the northern and southern islands and the average temperature is 25 ~ 2 ° C. During the monsoon season, it rains approximately 3,175mm on Borneo Island, 4,172mm on Sumatra Island, and 1,755mm on Java Island. The eastern islands are considerably cooler.     Tips
   
  Tipping is customary in Indonesia at restaurants and hotels, and average around 10% for satisfactory service. Some hotels and restaurants charge an automatic 10% service fee to the bill. Tipping on top of that is up to the guest. Rp2,000 ~ 5,000 is appropriate for hotel porters and Rp500 for taxi drivers.
