Asiana Airlines' in-flight meals include both traditional Western
and Korean cuisine prepared using the highest standards. The traditional
Korean Palace Cuisine, introduced in 2002, has received the praise
of travelers. In traditional Korea when society was centered on the
Royal Family, the Korean Palace was a focal point for the culinary
arts. The best ingredients were gathered from each region of Korea
so that the Palace Chefs could produce the finest cuisine for the
King. Chefs were notable figures during that time.

In First and Business Class, Asiana Airlines offers not only the taste
of the Palace Cuisine but also the deep meaning of serving the King
through profound dedication and mindfulness. Asiana Airlines?Palace
Dinner is classified by traditional names: Cho-mi, Yi-mi, Sam-mi,
Hu-mi. To retain the spirit of traditional wooden dining furniture
we have developed an octagonal tray that matches in-flight requirements
providing a special, value-added service.
Korean Royal Table D’Hote is the revival of the cuisine that the Royal
Family enjoyed for over 5,000 years. It was developed in cooperation
with the best Korean culinary experts on Palace Cuisine enabling Asiana
Airlines to offer the highest quality service to First and Business
Class travelers. The First Class passengers receive their in-flight
meals on the traditional octagonal tray which includes seven dishes
showcasing the extraordinary Korean Palace experience. Business Class
passengers experience the Palace Cuisine in a five dish meal which
includes steamed galbi, abalone and traditional bibimbap as the main
dish. For dessert, traditional Korean cookies and tea are offered.

In addition, Flexible Meal Time Service is now available for those
passengers who desire a meal service that corresponds with their sleeping
pattern. Up until now, meal service was a uniformly scheduled event
for all passengers. Asiana Airlines is departing from this age-old
concept recognizing the fact that not all passengers have the same
sleeping or eating habits.
In accordance with Asiana Airlines?dedication to the customer, these
services are available so that passengers may choose from a cuisine
that is best in class. Through this service, Asiana Airlines hopes
to promote Korea’s Traditional Cuisine Culture to the world. Services
can be arranged in advance by simply calling our reservation centers. |
