| It has only been in the past couple of years that South Korea has begun to
become recognized as one of the top birding destinations in the northern
hemisphere. Birdwatching tours are therefore new to South Korea, with the first
organized overseas tour running in December 2001, and the second, a spring tour,
organized by WBKBirdingKorea, in April/May 2002. KNTO has been active in
encouraging such tours to come here, and many companies are beginning to express
interest. If you are still undecided about where to take your next big birding
