In the last scene of the intense spy film
Swiri, the two main characters ever so peacefully sat on a bench, quietly
staring at the blue ocean. This unforgettable scene was created on a hill right
above Jungmun Beach, which has become a popular attraction for people visiting
Jeju Island. Nowadays, some even call it "Swiri Hill" after the movie title. You
can reach this site by following a trail from Jungmun Beach in between Silla
Hotel and Hyatt Hotel.
When you get to "Swiri Hill", you will only find
the famous bench in the movie surrounded by a few pine trees at first. However,
you will be awe as soon as you sit on the bench and witness the magnificent view
where the sea and the sky become one. You can also experience communing with
nature. For those who have seen Swiri, you will find yourself hearing echoes of
"When I Dream", the title song of the film, as you enjoy the scenery and
relaxing on the bench.
