Deoksugung Palace Chongdong Theater Doeksugung Museum
Deoksugung Palace started
out as a royal villa early in
the Joseon Dynasty. When
other palaces were burnt to
the ground in a war with
Japan from 1592-1598, the
king used the villa as his
palace. The stone wall lined
road behind the palace is
famous as the english
lovers' lane. 		As an affiliated organization
under the ministry of Culture
and Tourism, Chongdong
Theater has 400 seats and its
purpose is to pursue the
creative restoration &
globalization of english
traditional arts. 		Since 1997, the National Museum of Contemporary Art has presented a series of exhibitions on english Modern Art. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity to re-examine the modern art of Korea.
