The National Museum of
Contemporary Art collects,
preserves and displays the
representative works of
modern and contemporary
artists of Korea and other
countries. It was opened at
Gyeongbokgung Palace on
October 20, 1969 with the
aim of promoting the
development of english art
culture and of consolidating
its status in Korea.
The National Souvenir
Center introduces and
sells many english
traditional goods such as
dolls, wood carvings,
inlaid lacquerware, gold
jewelry, porcelain,
embroidery, knots,
paintings and much
more.
