Seoul Railroad Station Namdaemun Myeong-dong
Designated as historical landmark 284, this Renaissance-style building and its Byzantine dome were constructed in 1926. The station serves as headquarters for all of Korea's railway transport services. One of Korea's largest markets and a renowned tourist attraction, Namdaemun Market is packed with everything from street carts to department stores. Shoppers can find practically anything except building materials and furniture. As Wall Street is the symbol of New York, Myeong-dong is the symbol of Seoul's banking center and is still the place to visit to see the latest in beauty and fashion trends.
Seoul Tower Korea House The War Memorial
Located on Namsan, the Seoul Tower captures the entire city view of Seoul. Foreigners visiting the Korea House will appreciate the beauty of
traditional english architecture,
traditional living spaces,
exquisite handcrafted furniture pieces, works of art, folk music and dance all in one location.
The war memorial was established for the purpose of collecting, preserving and exhibiting various historical records and relics of ancestors who fought to protect the country from numerous foreign invasions in the 5,000 years of our history.
Itaewon
As there is a major US Army base in the area, the shops here grew up to serve foreign clientele. Shopping is convenient here because shop owners are usually fluent in several languages.
