• Ho-Am Art Museum
The Ho-Am Art museum
consists of a main building modeled after a traditional house and the Huiwon, a
traditional garden. The museum is home to diverse ceramic artifacts, ranging
from the masterful Goryeo celadon and aesthetic Buncheong ware to the refined
white porcelain of the Joseon Dynasty. Also exhibited are other invaluable art
works, such as rare Goryeo Buddhist paintings, landscape paintings, paintings of
the four gracious plants (plum, orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo). |

• Latin American Cultural Center and
Museum
The Latin American Cultural Center and Museum features a
comprehensive collection of artifacts from the ancient Maya and Inca
Civilizations, as well as a number that are from other parts of Latin America.
These items vividly reflect the history, culture and lifestyle of each Latin
American country. Among the items displayed are ceremonial knives which are
believed to have been used to cut out human hearts during religious rituals
1,300 years ago, jade necklaces from Mexico, Costa Rican tools which were used
to grind grains, and a variety of wooden, stone and earthenware. Also on display
are paintings, ceramics and Mexican masks with varied facial expressions. |

• Euro Decorative Art Museum
The Euro
Decorative Art Museum is a museum dedicated to exhibiting, preserving and
researching decorative art works from Western Europe. Decorative art is a
formative type of art designed to adorn human housing and surroundings. This art
genre expresses the human desire to beautify their surroundings. Major exhibits
here include yellow wax dolls, armor and headpieces of medieval knights, small
statues of English knights, French ceramic dolls, Venetian masks, glass from
Italy, collages and hangers from Germany and posters from the Cannes Film
Festival. |
