Any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and obtain a Korean visa before coming. But people of 99 countries who want to visit Korea temporarily are permitted to enter without a visa according to visa-exemption agreements(Table 1), or in accordance with principles reciprocity or national interest(Table 2).

How to use public telephone

There are three kinds of public phones, coin-operated phone, phone card-operated phone, and credit card-operated phone.
  • Coin-operated phone: 10, 100, 50, 100 coins are available.
  • Phone card-operated phone: 2,000 3,000 5,000 10,000 cards are available.
  • Credit card-operated phone: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, etc. are accepted.
  • Phone charge: 50/3 minutes
